Image 1: During the January 2001 nomination of presidential candidates for the National Elections,  President Museveni arrived at the nomination venue at Kololo Airstrip grounds on a boda boda.

Museveni rode a boda boda to his presidential nomination at Kololo, which he later explained was to easily weave through the mammoth crowds of his supporters in order to be on time.

Image 2: On January 31, 2020, President Yoweri Museveni arrived at the Rwenzori Investment Expo in Fort Portal on a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) driven by a woman named Doreen Kobusingye. Kobusingye was part of the Kabarole Women Boda Boda Riders' Association, which pools resources to acquire motorcycles. The President stated that the government would support this association and praised the spirit of women taking initiative in business.
