On September 18, 2025, President Yoweri Museveni awarded a group of distinctive elders inspiring Ugandans due to their contributions to the nation’s socio-economic transformation agenda. 

The exceptional elders, including prominent industrialists, farmers, activists, educationalists, religious leaders, philanthropists, health workers, intellectuals and lawyers, were awarded during the National Mentorship Day Awards ceremony held at State House Entebbe. 

President Museveni congratulated the awardees for being recognized because of the great work they have done for Uganda.
