President Museveni pledges stronger Uganda – Iran relations 

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni reaffirmed Uganda’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran across all sectors, such as trade and investment, as part of the efforts to promote shared prosperity between the two nations. 

Museveni swears in for the Fourth Presidential Term

In Febuary 2011, the Electoral Commission chairman, Badru Kiggundu, announced Museveni's victory with 68.38 percent of the votes, putting him way ahead of the national average needed to secure victory in the presidential elections. He was later sworn in as the President of the Republic of Uganda on 5th May hence begining his forth term in office. 

President Museveni swears in for another term at Kololo Airstrip

On 12th May, 2001,President Museveni Yoweri Kaguta Museveni took an oath for other five years as the President of Uganda. Dignitaries graced Kololo Airstrip in Kampala during the ceremony as the Electoral Commission Chairman, Hajji Aziz Kasujja confirmed to the different dignitaries from Africa and the entire world that Museveni emerged winner of the 2001 general elections winning with 69% on the presidential polls, challenging four other candidates.

President Museveni receives a Golden Plate Award

In June 2004, Museveni received the prestigious Golden Plate Award in Washington DC for leadership achievements.He was recognised for his incredible achievement which included, liberating Uganda from regimes that had led to the death of many Ugandans due to political insitabilities, leading a successful armed struggle that liberated the country from two decades of dictatorship and restored peace and stability and also his exemplary leadership Uganda. Bishop  Desmond Tutu handed the award to President Museveni.
